Welcome to dustville!!

So Matt and I have been wanting to knock out our bathrooms for awhile now but never had the time to do it. This past week Matt finally has had a whole week off so we decided to start some projects. Our first plan was to finish installing all of our impact windows and doors and then if we had time move to the bathrooms. Well it didnt quite happen that way. On Monday Matt started with our back sliding glass door and finished it around two. After he did that we were sitting in our living room and we have this brick wall with a fake fireplace that is kinda pointless and we have always wondered if it was hollow or not and Matt has always wanted to kncok it out so our kitchen and livingroom would be connected. So Matt decided to take a sledge hammer and knock a hole in it to see if it was hollow and yep it sure was! So then he figured well I made a hole I might as well knock down the whole thing. So five hours later our house was one big pile of dust and we had no wall left. It looks really nice because our house all of a sudden felt bigger but what a clean up and we still have a hole in our ceiling that goes into our attic. Ok so that was Monday. Then Tuesday we had one of Matts workers come over and help him take his load that was in his truck to the dump because that wall debris was a good couple hundred pounds of brick. After they got home Matt said to me that his worker will help him knock out the guest bathroom if we wanted him to. So my thought was heck yes no more ugly bathrooms and so they went to town. They started at 9 in the morning finishing around 4. Again adding to the dust in our house. Then the next day which was Wednesday we were trying to figure out how to put back the bathroom and what we were going to do. The problem was the wood that was framing of the bathroom was either rotten and/or eaten by termites. So we made a decision to knock out our other bathroom that was connnected by the same wall with all the wood damage. This way we could put in new wood and make the two bathrooms all new. So today Matt and Jerry went to town and knocked down the other bathroom. So needless to say we now have one big empty bathroom, a house full of one inch dust, no toliet or tub to do anything in and Rylin has been with my parents for the past four days because of all the dust. Oh yea and we have all of our windows and doors in but still unfinished as far as the trim work inside and stucco outside. But the awesome part is that we are going to have two new bathrooms eventually!!! Here are some pics of our projects...
